Beaucourt Road Major Maintenance Project – Completed

Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) completed major maintenance work along Mimico Creek below Beaucourt Road, in the City of Toronto. As a result, TRCA was able to provide improved protection to the slope, channel and surrounding land.

Scope of Work

  • Start Date: June 2020
  • Completion Date: Fall 2020

The goal of this project was to enhance channel stability, thereby offering additional protection to residential properties adjacent to the creek. The scope of work included the following components:

  • Repair and replacement of retaining wall structures to protect the slope from the creek’s erosive forces
  • Creek bed reinforcement to effectively direct flows
  • Restoration along the former construction access road including seeding and planting of native shrub and tree species
