Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA), in partnership with the City of Toronto, completed slope stabilization works behind Rose Park Crescent to provide long-term protection to residential properties located at the top of slope.

The Project area is located northeast of Yonge Street and St. Clair Avenue, in the City of Toronto.
Scope of Work

The goal of this project was to stabilize the slope below Rose Park Crescent to provide long-term protection to residential dwellings located at the top of slope from the continued hazards of uncontrolled erosion and slope instability. The scope of work included the following:
- Installation of a subdrainage system to manage groundwater
- Construction of a vegetated rubble-fill buttress to remediate the slope failure area and stabilize the slope
- Restoration activities including seeding and planting disturbed areas with native species (grasses, shrubs, trees, etc.)
