Peacham Crescent Slope Stabilization Project – Completed

Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA), in partnership with the City of Toronto, has completed slope stabilization works behind Peacham Crescent. These works will provide long-term protection to multiple residential properties located at the top of slope from the hazards of erosion and slope instability.

Project Location

This project was located in the City of Toronto, northeast of Jane Street and Wilson Avenue.

Scope of Work

  • Start Date: November 2021
  • End Date: October 2022

The goal of this project was to stabilize the slope behind Peacham Crescent to provide long-term protection to residential dwellings located at the top of slope from the continued hazards of uncontrolled erosion and slope instability. The scope of work included the following:

  • Construction of the RSS wall to remediate and stabilize the slope
  • Restoration activities including seeding and planting disturbed areas with native species (grasses, shrubs, trees, etc.)
