Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) conducted major maintenance along the West Don River down slope of Gwendolen Crescent, in the City of Toronto. As a result of the work, TRCA was able to protect the slope and the dwellings on top of it.

Gwendolen Crescent Major Maintenance Project was considered high priority because of the risks associated to some dwellings on Gwendolen Crescent due to slope instability. The scope of work included the following:
- Constructing vegetated rock buttress
- Restoration including seeding disturbed areas as well as tree and shrub planting
