Private Land Planting Program:
Terms and Conditions

  1. Applications for plant materials are accepted in accordance with the requirements of the program and must be received by December 1 of the year preceding planting, (i.e. if planning to plant in Spring 2021, applications must be received by December 1 2020).

  2. All applications are subject to approval by TRCA staff to ensure compliance with TRCA program guidelines.

  3. Except for windbreaks and fence rows, no plant material will be planted within 15 metres of a residence and are not intended as landscaping.

  4. This program is only available to properties of 2 acres (0.8 hectares) or greater.

  5. A site visit must be conducted for all TRCA Planting Services.

  6. All order fees and program deposits are non-refundable.

  7. A 50% deposit, or the landowner’s cost (whichever is less) must be received by February of the year of planting.

  8. All applicable program costs are payable by February 28 of the year of planting.

  9. All prices shown are spring 2020 costs. Actual prices and species availability are subject to change subject to owner’s approval.

  10. All orders and final pricing will be confirmed with the customer prior to planting/pickup in spring of the year of planting.

  11. Landowners are responsible for identifying the location of all property lines, easements, and locating underground utilities before the time of planting.

  12. Plant material cannot be reserved or ordered until the completed application and order form have been signed, submitted, and the deposit received.

  13. Program plant material is non-returnable and not guaranteed after pick-up from our facility.
