Students will be introduced to basic wetland plant identification before completing a survey and map of a shoreline zone. The importance of a natural shoreline to the health of aquatic ecosystems will be examined.
This is a three-hour certification course offered between May and October.
Two options exist for the vegetation study:
- Wetland shoreline on foot
- Lake shoreline from canoes*
*Must pass prior swim test to use canoes
