This program is designed to introduce young students to the characteristics of animals. They will learn the differences and similarities between mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish. Animal life cycles are featured. Students will investigate several habitats outdoors, study and view skins and mounted specimens to learn about animals. Active participation through games and hands-on activities makes learning fun.

Programs always have an outdoor component. Groups should dress for the conditions on the day of their visit. Before your visit, please discuss the importance of dressing appropriately for outdoor activities. On days of inclement weather the program will be modified to include some indoor activities along with the outdoor components.
