Kortright Centre’s renewable energy demonstrations provide an excellent opportunity to see and understand renewable energy firsthand!
This program introduces students to renewable energy sources: wind, wood and solar. Through working demonstrations, hands-on activities and games, students gain an understanding of the difference between renewable and non-renewable energy and resources.
Preparation:
To optimize the learning experience during this program, it would be helpful if your students were familiar with some of the keywords noted above. Programs always have an outdoor component. Groups should dress for the conditions on the day of their visit. Before your visit, please discuss the importance of dressing appropriately for outdoor activities. On days of inclement weather the program will be modified to include some indoor activities along with the outdoor components.
