GIRLS CAN TOO

High school students participate in Girls Can Too program at Heart Lake Conservation Park

TRCA’s Girls Can Too program is designed to introduce and prepare female-identifying youth for trades-based careers in the environmental sector.

Participants learn a range of hands-on skills while completing valuable projects that contribute to the ecological well-being and sustainability of the community.

Conservation Youth Corps: In-Stream Work

Join Ontario Streams and TRCA’s Conservation Youth Corps to install in-stream habitat enhancement structures to reduce excess sedimentation caused by land development and to create habitat for aquatic wildlife. These techniques will help protect rivers from the impacts of climate change.

TRCA Youth Council members participate in litter cleanup event

Help keep our natural spaces beautiful by joining TRCA’s Youth Council, in collaboration with CMI Solar, for a morning of stewardship! Participants will work together at Claireville Conservation Area to clean up litter and water plants and help maintain the area for everyone to enjoy.

Meet the Bees

Experience a day in the life of a beekeeper and meet the honey bees at Claireville Conservation Area.

Participants will be invited to touch, smell, and taste the hive’s different products, see worker bees doing what they do best, and – if you get extra lucky – meet her majesty the queen bee.

This family-friendly program is presented by Alvéole beekeepers in partnership with educators from Claireville.
