2026 Summer Camp Information

Camp Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.*
Extended Care: Extended care is available from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Day Camp Fees:** $365.00/week*
Week of June 29-July 3, 2026:
$145.00/2 days – Monday/Tuesday AND/OR Thursday/Friday
Week of August 4-7, 2026:
$295.00/week
Extended Care Fees: $100.00/week ($80.00/four-day week)
Overnight Camp Fees:** $850.00/week ($650.00/four-day week)*
Intro to Overnights (day camp + 2 nights): $550.00/week

June 29-July 3, 2026: KICK OFF SUMMER* – Day Camp

Join us as we welcome the start of the summer season at Claremont Nature Centre. Get ready for a summer full of exploring the woods, building fires and connecting with new and old friends.

July 6-10, 2026: INTRO TO OVERNIGHTS – Day/Overnight Camp

This mini overnight camp is the perfect opportunity for our adventurers that want to trial sleeping in a bunk bed, having home cooked meals with friends, exploring the forest and stream by day, and cozying up by the campfire at night!

Campers will learn new skills and participate in traditional camp games while gaining confidence and independence. They will build community, connect with the land, and adventure away!

Monday and Tuesday are regular day camp days (9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.); Wednesday drop-off is 9:00 a.m.; campers sleep over until pick-up on Fri at 4:00 p.m.

July 6-10, 2026: AMAZING ANIMALS – Day Camp

Campers will learn about the different animal groups though hikes, games, and activities. Get your camper ready to embrace their animal instincts as they look for signs of animals, and learn about animal adaptations!

July 12-17, 2026: ADVENTURE AWAY – Overnight Camp

Give your child the opportunity to make the 400 acres of Claremont Nature Centre their home for a week! Let the forest, stream, and meadow become their backyard, and let their interests and passions guide the day as they learn new skills and take part in traditional camp activities. They will build community, connect with the land, and adventure away in this immersive overnight camp!

Arrival Sunday, July 12 between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., and pick up Friday, July 17 between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

July 13-17, 2026: WILDERNESS SURVIVAL – Day Camp

Learn the skills needed to survive the wilderness! Campers will build a shelter from materials found in the forest, learn how to safely make a fire, and enjoy cedar tea.

July 20-24, 2026: INTRO TO OVERNIGHTS – Day/Overnight Camp

July 20-24, 2026: SPY CAMP – Day Camp

Campers will spend the week learning to supercharge their senses and spy on nature. During the camp they will learn about tracking animals, using binoculars, camouflage, moving silently and spying into the secret lives of animals.

July 26-31, 2026: ADVENTURE AWAY – Overnight Camp

Give your child the opportunity to make the 400 acres of Claremont Nature Centre their home for a week! July 27-31, 2026: NATURE ART – Day Camp

Art is all around us! Campers will use nature as inspiration as they draw and sketch life in the forest, make earth art, paint natural items, and create clay sculptures from clay dug out of the pristine Duffins creek.

August 4-7, 2026: SURVIVAL CHALLENGE* – Day/Overnight Camp

Test your skills at Claremont’s first ever extended camp week! This week is about digging deeper to learn new naturalist skills, compete in survival challenges, and create tools and art using all natural materials.

The typical camp day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and includes dinner and a specialty evening program! On Wednesday night, campers are invited to sleep over at the Claremont Nature Centre and experience camp classics in the form of evening games, songs around the campfire, and maybe even getting ready for their skills showcase on Thursday night!

*Four-day week.

This is an extended day camp with an overnight on Wednesday evening. Drop off is 9:00 a.m., and pick-up on Tuesday and Thursday is 7:30 p.m. Friday pick-up is 4:00 p.m.

August 4-7, 2026: FOREST MAGIC* – Day Camp

Take a closer look at the magic the forest has to offer! Campers will be sorted into element “houses”, making their own wands, learning about natural potions, and connecting with their roots

August 10-14, 2026: LEGACY OF THE WILD – Day Camp

Your camper can become a part of Claremont’s legacy while exploring their own relationship with nature! They will learn how to use hand tools and create trail markers before designing new trails leading to a magical gathering space of their choosing. Sign your camper up to create stories and legends, form new relationships, and make their mark!

August 10-14, 2026: NATURE SUPERHEROES – Day Camp

After coming up with their hero alias and special power, your child will learn how nature influenced superheroes, discover real life superpowers that different plants and animals have, and ways they can help save the planet!

August 24-28, 2026: LEADERS IN TRAINING – Day Camp

Join a fun-filled week of summer camp adventure while building leadership and teamwork skills. LIT Campers will work together as a team to complete challenges, learn about different leadership styles, and develop and lead activities for our youngest campers, giving them real-world leadership experience!

Campers will also experience our low ropes course, relax in the stream, and participate in fun traditional camp activities. Be active, feel great, and experience a new adventure every day!

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation requests received by Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) more than 30 days before the start of the camp program will receive a 75% refund of the relevant program fees paid. Cancellation requests received by TRCA less than 30 days before the start of the camp program do not qualify for a refund. Rescheduling is subject to availability. There is no refund for camp days missed or children opting not to participate in activities. Cancellation requests must be received in writing by email to vservices@trca.ca. Minimum registration numbers required for camp to operate. In the event TRCA must cancel the camp due to low registration or government order, a full refund will be issued.
