Campers will have the opportunity be outdoors exploring the forests, meadows, and spaces of Claireville Conservation Area. Make memories at one of our nature-themed summer camp weeks and enjoy the benefits of time spent outside!
Claireville’s Outdoor Education Centre also offers an indoor space for lunch breaks, washrooms, and inclement weather!

June 30/July 2-4: WILDLIFE WONDERS* – Day Camp
Learn about the many different types of insects, mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians that call Claireville home! In this animal-focused camp all the activities, crafts and games will be related to learning more about animal behavior, and adaptations.
PLEASE NOTE: Single-day bookings are available for July 2, 3, and 4.

July 7-11: WILDERNESS SURVIVAL – Day Camp
Learn the skills needed to survive the wilderness! Campers will build a shelter from materials found in the forest, learn how to safely make a fire, and make a yummy treat!

Let’s save the planet! Your child will learn how nature influenced superheroes, discover real life superpowers that different plants and animals have, and learn ways that they can help mother earth.

Get creative in the woods! Campers will use nature as inspiration as they draw and sketch life in the forest, make earth art, paint landscapes, and create clay sculptures.

Take a closer look at the magic the forest has to offer! Campers will make their own wand, learn to make nature potions, create stories about magical creatures, and use the forest as a backdrop for mystery and magic!

Get ready for an adventure into the forest! Campers will explore the 848 hectare property of Claireville Conservation Area, learn how to navigate a map, discover the hidden ponds and secret woods that many animals call home. Exploration and adventure await!

Campers will spend the week learning to supercharge their senses and spy on nature. During this camp we will track animals, learn how to use binoculars, play camouflage games, and become stealthy spies moving silently and spying into the secret lives of animals.

August 25-29: BIKE CAMP & WILDERNESS SURVIVAL – Day Camp (Ages 9-11)
NEW BIKE CAMP FOR AGES 9-11!
Each day, campers will spend half the day exploring the 2,095 acres at Claireville by bike, and the other half learning wilderness survival skills. No wheels? No worries! Campers may bring their own bike or use one of ours.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation requests received by Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) more than 30 days before the start of the camp program will receive a 75% refund of the relevant program fees paid. Cancellation requests received by TRCA less than 30 days before the start of the camp program do not qualify for a refund. Rescheduling is subject to availability. There is no refund for camp days missed or children opting not to participate in activities. Cancellation requests must be received in writing by email to vservices@trca.ca. Minimum registration numbers required for camp to operate. In the event TRCA must cancel the camp due to low registration or government order, a full refund will be issued.
