Participants will become acquainted with the characteristics of healthy pond ecosystems.

They will brainstorm the types of invertebrates and vertebrates found in ponds and learn how these animals are adapted to their ecological niche. Participants will then collect pond organisms and sketch; identify and describe each according to methods of breathing, locomotion and feeding.
