Course Types:
Discover insect life cycles and adaptations, and learn about the roles they play in nature. Students will have the opportunity to catch, observe and release a variety of insects from more then one habitat.
This program studies the insects that can be found in local habitats. Students are presented with the concepts of identification and classification of this fascinating group of animals. The varied life cycles and the importance of invertebrates are examined through disscussion and hands on field collecting.
Preparation:
Programs always have an outdoor component. Groups should dress for the conditions on the day of their visit. Before your visit, please discuss the importance of dressing appropriately for outdoor activities. On days of inclement weather the program will be modified to include some indoor activities along with the outdoor components.

Half day, April to November.
