Kortright’s unique renewable energy demonstrations provide students with an excellent opportunity to see and understand renewable energy technology first hand. The various sites along the Power Trip Trail show how renewable souces of energy such as Biomass, Solar Thermal, photovoltaic (PV) and wind, can be applied in practical everyday situations.

Programs always have an outdoor component. Groups should dress for the conditions on the day of their visit. Before your visit, please discuss the importance of dressing appropriately for outdoor activities. On days of inclement weather the program will be modified to include some indoor activities along with the outdoor components. The energy trail is primarily an open trail with very little shade. Please wear a hat and sunscreen.
