TRCA’s Boyd Conservation Park to Receive Major Upgrades with Funding Support from Canada Community Revitalization Fund

August 22, 2022, Toronto, ON – Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA)’s Boyd Conservation Park in Vaughan, ON will undergo significant improvements to enhance the visitor experience, supported by an investment from the Canada Community Revitalization Fund (CCRF).

The CCRF will contribute $743,025 to the upgrades at Boyd, Francesco Sorbara, Member of Parliament for Vaughan-Woodbridge, announced today. The CCRF is supported by the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.

Boyd is one of six Conservation Parks in the Greater Toronto Area owned and operated by TRCA. The investment from CCRF will support the following improvements to the park:

  • Installation of a new picnic shelter
  • The addition of 50 new accessible picnic tables
  • Installation of three wayfinding kiosks
  • Upgrades to washroom facilities
  • Repair and paving of park access roads and parking lots

Boyd Conservation Park is one of the GTA’s premier summer picnic destinations. The park currently has 17 picnic sites designed to accommodate groups both large and small.

    Boyd Conservation Park is a 400-hectare property owned and managed by TRCA. It is located in the City of Vaughan within the headwaters of the Don and Humber Rivers. The steep-sided Humber River Valley and tall trees provide a quiet refuge where visitors can relax and enjoy the outdoors.

    Boyd Conservation Park is one of the GTA’s foremost summer picnic destinations for families and large groups. The park also boasts trails for hiking, running, and cycling that wind through the Humber River Valley.
