
Learn about the mysteries of the nocturnal world, the birds that call it their home, and how they fare in Toronto’s bustling nightscape!
Together with a bird expert, participants will delve into the wonders of nocturnal wildlife and their nighttime adaptations and explore the ways we can ethically appreciate these unique animals without disturbing them.
Then, we’ll cap off the evening with an exciting owl prowl to put these newfound skills into action!

EVENT DETAILS
Date and Time: Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Location: Tommy Thompson Park, 1 Leslie St. Meet your event leader outside the park pavilion, which is located at the main entrance of the park.
Ticket Price: Tickets for this event are $19.53 + HST (plus Eventbrite fees).

Parking/Transit Info: Free, public parking is available at the main entrance of the park, directly adjacent to the park pavilion. The entrance to the lot is on Unwin Ave, just west of Leslie St. If taking transit, take the 83 Jones bus to Commissioners St. The park pavilion is ~8 minute walk from the bus stop.
Cancellation Policy: The event will run rain or shine but will be cancelled if there is a chance of thunderstorms or other hazardous weather. Registrants will be emailed by 7:00 a.m. on the day of the event if there is a cancellation. Please direct any questions regarding the cancellation policy for this event to tisha.tan@trca.ca.

BE PREPARED
- Please dress appropriately for a cold, winter day. Don’t forget to bring a toque, scarf, and gloves!
- Ensure you wear comfortable winter boots for the outdoor birding portion of the program.
- Flush washrooms are located at the main entrance of the park, so please plan accordingly.
- Bring a personal water bottle and snacks, if needed.
- If you have your own binoculars, please bring them! Extra pairs will also be available.
