READ THE NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION
Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) and the City of Toronto, with Ward 20 Councillor Parthi Kandavel, Chair of the TRCA Board of Directors Paul Ainslie, and a number of other dignitaries and project advocates celebrated the project’s groundbreaking on October 20, 2025, marking the beginning of construction.

Construction is expected to continue through to mid-2027, with TRCA and their contractor occupying the north end of the boat launch parking lot for staging and stockpiling.
Following site set-up and the installation of a temporary pedestrian walkway on the west side of Brimley Road, trail work will start at the south end in Bluffer’s Park and continue north to Barkdene Hills.
Any questions or comments you may have during the Construction Phase can continue to be directed to the project team.
Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA), in partnership with the City of Toronto, launched the Scarborough Waterfront Project with a vision of creating a system of public greenspaces along the Lake Ontario shoreline between Bluffer’s Park and East Point Park.
This system will respect and protect the significant natural and cultural features of the Bluffs, enhance terrestrial and aquatic habitat, and provide a safe and enjoyable waterfront experience.
