Why Glen Haffy is a Must-Visit
Nestled in the rolling hills of Caledon, Glen Haffy Conservation Park offers more than just a beautiful landscape – it’s a quiet fishing gem!
Whether you’re a newbie or a seasoned angler, you’ll find ponds full of rainbow trout ready to challenge your fishing skills. It’s not just about the catch – it’s about soaking up nature, breathing in fresh air, and unwinding from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
No Gear? No Problem!
Fishing should be accessible to everyone, which is why the TackleShare station at Tommy Thompson Park (TTP) is such a game-changer.
Don’t have your own gear? No problem! The TackleShare program, initiated by the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH), allows you to borrow fishing rods and tackle, making it easy and affordable to get started.
TackleShare is available to borrow from the Nature Centre at TTP on weekends and holidays between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Just bring your enthusiasm, and you’re all set to make your first big catch!
Learn to Fish Program: Perfect for Beginners
Never fished before? No worries! The Learn to Fish program, offered by the Ministry of Natural Resources in partnership with TRCA, is tailor-made for beginners.
This program is your golden ticket to learning the ins and outs of fishing. Friendly experts will teach you the essential techniques, from casting to catching, and everything in between.
