Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) is delighted to launch the Thornhill SNAP Climate Ready Homes Program in partnership with the City of Vaughan.

This FREE program is designed to equip Thornhill residents with information about energy and water use, solid waste management, climate resilience, eco-landscaping, and available rebate and incentive programs.

Book a FREE home consultation and learn about interior and exterior actions you can take to help save money, improve home comfort, and increase your home’s climate resilience.

BOOK YOUR FREE HOME CONSULTATION

Home consultations will last approximately 45 to 60 minutes and are available to all residents who live in a single-family home (detached, semi-detached, or townhome) within the Thornhill SNAP neighborhood.

Free home consultations will be scheduled between February and December 2025. Participate in a home consultation by August 31, 2025, and receive one FREE incentive of your choice!*

Incentives include:

  • Rain barrel
  • Fruit or shade tree – delivered and planted
  • DIY home energy savings kit and air sealing kit
  • Basement flood alarm
  • Climate resilience kit

*Incentives are available on a first come, first served basis while supplies last. This program is only available to residents of single-family homes (detached, semi-detached, and town homes) within the Thornhill SNAP boundaries. Addresses will be verified.

Participate in the
Thornhill SNAP Energy Retrofit Pilot

As part of the CRHP, the Thornhill SNAP is looking to support 10 households on their retrofit journey as part of an Energy Retrofit Pilot.

This Pilot will offer free energy audits, free energy coaching, and up to $3,000 in financial rebates to support residents through retrofit actions.

Applicants will be accepted on a first come, first served basis and must meet the eligibility requirements.
