Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) has completed remedial erosion control works along Wilket Creek within Windfields Park to provide long-term protection to private and public property from the hazards of erosion.
Project Location
The project area is located within Windfields Park below Tudor Gate, near the intersection of York Mills Road and Bayview Avenue.
Scope of Work
The goal this project was to provide long-term protection to private and public property from ongoing erosion issues. The scope of work includes:
- Construction of vegetated buttresses
- Channel widening/realigning
- Construction of weirs and bed control
- Restored site with native trees and shrubs
