In this program, students will become familiar with GPS units by using them to find geocaches on the Kortright Centre property. The students will learn about GPS technology, its history and how it is used. The students will also learn about the different kinds of geocaches such as an earthcache, a mulitcache and even a puzzlecache.

Preparation:
Students will be divided into groups to successfully complete the exercises. Programs always have an outdoor component. Groups should dress for the conditions on the day of their visit. Before your visit, please discuss the importance of dressing appropriately for outdoor activities. On days of inclement weather the program will be modified to include some indoor activities along with the outdoor components.

Full or half day, available all year.
