Students will be introduced to the concepts and components of climate change throughout this program.

The houses, which are both LEED Platinum status, demonstrate many green technologies, such as solar and wind produced electricity, solar domestic hot water, geothermal heating and cooling, and rainwater harvesting.

While exploring the Innovation Trail, students will discuss climate and the nature of climate change. Discussions will cover how to make students’ own homes, schools and communities greener and more sustainable, as well as the impact that personal lifestyle choices have on pollution and climate change.

Programs always have an outdoor component. Groups should dress for the conditions on the day of their visit. Before your visit, please discuss the importance of dressing appropriately for outdoor activities. On days of inclement weather the program will be modified to include some indoor activities along with the outdoor components.

Full day, year-round
