An interactive model helps students understand how water becomes polluted in their community and learn how water is cleaned so it is safe for human use.

Students work in small groups to clean dirty water, learning the importance and value of clean water along with the issues and costs associated with cleaning polluted water. We will explore some of the causes, solutions and alternatives to these issues.

Preparation:
Access to a sink is needed; making name tags for students is helpful.
