Sure, that little heat wave was nice, but we can’t kid ourselves any longer: fall is finally here. And that’s not a bad thing! We’ll miss those long, lazy summer days — but in exchange, we get the rich red-and-gold of autumn leaves, the thrill of post-season baseball, and pumpkin spice in … well, just about everything.
At Black Creek Pioneer Village, it’s time to get into an October state of mind. Join us on Sunday October 8 for our traditional Thanksgiving feast, or bring your favourite little ghouls and goblins for a day of Halloween-themed family fun at our ever-popular Howling Hootenanny (Oct 21, 22, 28 and 29).
Love the macabre and mysterious? Our True Horror Stories tour — part of the Black Creek Nightlife series of evening adventure experiences — is a strange and fascinating journey into the Victoria obsession with death, dying and the deceased. (Bookings available on October 13, 21 and 28.)
Experience the Village in a whole new way on your next visit. The Pioneer Vision app combines historic images of the past with the technology of the present to offer an immersive virtual reality tour of Black Creek. Download to your smartphone from Google Play or the App Store.

And, of course, well underway is the Village’s newest nighttime feature: Night Life. Every weekend, explore where dark things dwell in our escape game.
