Help protect a significant wetland! Together we will cut down and remove the invasive plant Phragmities that competes with native vegetation. Afterwards, we’ll learn about bumble bee diversity by collecting and examining specimen following the Bumble Bee Watch program.

  • Age Range: Youth entering or returning to secondary school in September 2019. Students can receive volunteer hours for participation (must bring tracking sheet for sign-off).
  • What to wear: Long pants, closed-toed shoes and sun/rain protection. This event will take place rain or shine. Please bring a reusable water bottle.
  • Meeting Place: Trailhead at 68 Fairmont Rige Trail
  • Parking: Street parking is available on nearby side streets. Additional parking and washrooms are available at Tasca Park (49 Parkheights Trail).
