Youth Volunteer Event: Tree Maintenance

Get outside and help maintain newly planted trees! Together we’ll pull invasive plants and conduct monitoring to help these young trees grow into a forest.

Students can receive volunteer hours for participation. Volunteer letters will be emailed following the event.

Age Range: Participants must be 14 years of age or older, and returning to high school the following school year.

Registration is required for this event, walk-ins will not be accepted.

Please arrive on time and prepared for outdoor work.

What to wear: Long pants, closed-toed shoes, tall socks, face mask, hat and sunscreen.

What to bring: Rain protection, bug spray, reusable water bottle, snacks and a packed lunch. Gardening gloves, water refill and a portable toilet will be available.

Cancellation policy: The event will run rain or shine, but will be cancelled if there is a greater than 70% chance of thunderstorm or other hazardous weather. Registrants will be emailed by 8:00am on the morning of the event if there is a cancellation.
