A birding hike series in Tommy Thompson Park just for kids!
Explore the wilderness of Tommy Thompson Park as we look for birds who are passing through on their northward migration. You’ll visit the Bird Research Station, learn how to use binoculars, and meet other youth interested in birding. Whether you’re a bird beginner or know a warbler from a wren, come join the club!
Who? For ages 9-12.
Where? Drop-off and pick-up at the entrance to Tommy Thompson Park.
When? The club will meet on four Sundays from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30. The specific dates are: April 30, May 14, May 28, and June 4
On April 30 and May 28 we we will be cycling!
What do I need to join? Just yourself and an interest in birds! We’ll provide binoculars and field guides for use during meetings. Be prepared to walk! We want to explore different parts of the park to find our feathered friends, and will spend a lot of time on foot!
