The Humber River History Adventure tour is part of The 10 Waters Experience, a TRCA-led initiative to help people explore Toronto’s waterways and connect to the natural landscape that surrounds us every day.
Paddlers on the tour will be accompanied by a nature interpreter from TRCA, who speak to the rich human heritage and natural beauty of the Humber River. Paddlers will learn about the history of the Humber River as a trade route and the devastating effects of Hurricane Hazel.
After meeting at Sunnyside Beach parking lot, there will be an orientation and demonstration of safety procedures, led by expert paddling instructors from The Complete Paddler. We’ll then embark on a relaxing paddle out to Old Mill and then make our return back to Sunnyside Beach.
