Join us for two sessions of Fishing School on Sunday, September 26 at Heart Lake Conservation Park! You can choose from two time slots: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. or 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

This program introduces children and families to fishing. Learn how to bait and cast a fishing rod, and how to identify local fish species. Fishing is a great way to spend time outdoors with family and friends, and to learn a new skill!

Please remember that if you are 18 years of age or over, we encourage you to purchase a fishing license before participating in the program. While this is not a requirement for the program and we can not legally ask if you have purchased a license, if you are caught fishing without a license by a police officer or a conservation officer you may be subject to a fine. Find out more on how to purchase a fishing license.

This event will take place rain or shine. Please dress for the weather, including closed-toed shoes and insect protection. You will be notified if the hike needs to be cancelled due to extreme weather.

Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) is committed to creating an accessible experience for all participants. If you require an accommodation, please email at least 7 days prior to the event.
