Fabric Painting Art Lesson at Albion Hills

Ready to transform your old, worn-out clothes into unique, vibrant pieces of art? Join us for an adult art lesson on wardrobe painting.

Immerse yourself in the tranquil beauty of the Albion Hills trail for inspiration, and then capture your version of nature’s splendour on your clothing.

Learn how to paint your own long-lasting art on fabric, and reconnect with the great outdoors every time you put on your new nature art clothes.

Cost: $60 + HST per participant.

Beginner-Friendly: No prior experience needed and all materials provided. Light refreshment will be available during the painting session.

Feel free to bring your own t-shirt, tote bag or any clothing you like for this painting session. Large clothing will have to be partially folded during painting lesson.

Don’t have anything to bring? No problem! We will provide a blank baseball cap for you to express your creativity.

Note: Cotton fabric provides the best result after painting. A cotton and polyester blend will also work. NO leather or silk.

Event Schedule:

• 1:00 p.m. to 1:10 p.m.: Opening Remarks and Check-In
• 1:10 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.: Guided Nature Walk for Inspiration | Introduction to native plants and animals | Introduction to nature inspired colour combination and design
• 2:00 p.m. to 3:25 p.m.: Fabric Canvas Art Lesson | Receive Individualized Guidance | Learn Simple Nature Design on Cloth | Choose your own design and complete a painting with a maximum dimension of 8-10 inches
• 3:25 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.: Clean-Up and Closing Remark

Cancellation Requests received by Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) 14 days before the start of the program will receive a full refund. Cancellation requests received by TRCA 7 days before the start of the program will receive a 50% refund. Cancellation requests received by TRCA less than 7 days before the start of the program do not qualify for a refund. Cancellation requests must be received in writing by email to vservices@trca.ca.
