Join us for a community-driven effort to protect and restore the natural beauty of the Humber River! Learn about floatable litter and microplastics, and their impacts on the health of our aquatic ecosystems.

This event is designed to bring together volunteers who are passionate about keeping our waterways clean and ensuring a healthier environment for wildlife and future generations. Participants will help collect litter along the riverbanks and contribute to the conservation of one of Ontario’s vital ecosystems.

This event is hosted in partnership with the Toronto Zoo’s Climate Action Learning & Leadership Program.

  • Meet your event leader by the parking lot at Etienne Brulé Park, located at 10 Catherine St.
  • Please arrive on time and prepared for a morning spent outdoors
  • Wear close-toed shoes, long pants, and dress appropriately for the weather
  • More details will be shared with registrants closer to the date of the event

This event is intended for Ages 6+:

  • Beginner level information
  • Activities and concepts that are friendly for all ages
  • Intended audience includes children, youth, and adults

Cancellation policy: The event will run rain or shine but will be cancelled if there is a greater than 70% chance of thunderstorm or other hazardous weather. Registrants will be emailed by 8:00 a.m. on the morning of the event if there is a cancellation.
