Ever wonder what bat echolocation might sound like? Curious about The Meadoway’s resident flying mammals? If so, come join us for an evening of batty delights with your friendly neighbourhood batgirl, Dr. Cylita Guy. Cylita will take us into the nighttime world of the 8 species of bats found in Ontario. Learn how a bat detector works, about efforts related to bat conservation and research in our province, and about the importance of bats as part of Toronto’s urban biodiversity.

This event will be cancelled in inclement weather and all participants will be notified by email.  In the case of inclement weather, the event will take place the following evening. Please dress for the weather, including closed-toed shoes and protection from biting insects. TRCA is committed to creating an accessible experience for all participants. If you require an accessibility accommodation, please email emily.rondel@trca.ca at least 7 days prior to the event.

This event is offered in partnership with Ontario Bioblitz
