Bramalea SNAP Community Co-Design Group (CCG)

Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) and City of Brampton are looking for members to join the Bramalea SNAP Community Co-Design Group (CCG)!

The CCG is a multi-stakeholder group that will support detailed co-planning, co-design, and co-implementation of projects recommended by the Bramalea SNAP Action Plan, including those led by TRCA and City of Brampton, as well as community-based projects.

This work will build on the community engagement undertaken so far as part of the Bramalea SNAP.

The CCG is intended to be inclusive and representative of the Bramalea community – particularly the K, E, and F sections where the Bramalea SNAP is located.

It aims to bring together diverse perspectives with lived and professional experience in a cross-section of community members and local organizations that can help co-design and support building a healthy, connected, and sustainable Bramalea SNAP community.

Key member roles and responsibilities include:

  • Participating in and contributing to six group meetings annually
  • Reviewing and advising on project or activity design and seeking their organization’s input
  • Updating the group about member-led projects, activities, and events that support local Bramalea sustainability and community needs and interests
  • Sharing ideas for new projects and activities and identifying collaboration opportunities
  • Maintaining an understanding of environmental and community issues and trends in Bramalea and Brampton

Members shall demonstrate:

  • A familiarity with the Bramalea SNAP Action Plan and the Bramalea community (Learn more about the Action Plan)
  • Are part of one or more of the of the following interested groups:
    • Residents living in Bramalea K, E, or F sections
    • Municipal or TRCA teams
    • Business owner operating in Bramalea K, E, or F sections
    • Community organizations and institutions working in Bramalea and or part of the Bramalea Community Network
    • Commercial partners
    • NGOs, service providers, and individuals outside of Bramalea interested in supporting Bramalea SNAP implementation projects and activities

Membership requests are accepted on an ongoing basis throughout the year.
